Rajasthani woman
She bagged the Filmfare Best Debut Award in the year 2004 for her performance in Taarzan. Some of the films fared poorly at the box office. But she again came to limelight in the year 2006 with her powerful performance in the low budget film Dor. In this film she plays the role of a young widowed Rajasthani woman called Meera who stays in a conventional joint family. Again in 2006, Ayesha Takia came to be considered amongst the top ten desirable women of India in a survey that was carried out by Zoom, an Indian TV channel.
